The videos I have seen are entertaining to watch, we get a laugh with his videos because he has his way of adding special effects that make the movie look modern even though some of the original footage may be ten to twenty years old. I have seen the book and dare say he knows a lot about editing home videos and I know he is good at what he does.
Way back in the year 2000 I was working on old videos of my children growing up. I wanted to Edit them in small clips and in sequence thus telling the story of how they grew up but wanting to keep the clips short and to the point, and certainly not boring.
There is nothing worse than when you see people yawning watching your home made videos.
Keeping this in mind I wanted to set about making my videos watchable to all. I wanted to let my children see themselves walk for that first time in an interesting way, let them remember all the family holidays we enjoyed when they were young so they would want to show them to their friends.
I have over the last few years bought many or tried many different software packages, that differ from each other but they can also be used to complement each other rather well.
There are many different techniques used to add music in the background and also to add those special effects, meanwhile other techniques are used to enhance your finished movie.
Thus in the year 2000 I started making my first movie that you could burn onto DVD.
Wow! The time I took in making that first movie and getting the praise from my family and friends made it worth all the time and effort I put in. Now I have learnt all the ins and outs of what is required and what are the best techniques for making great movies, I want to pass this experience on.
