My name is Colin Jeffrey, I like doing home movies, I have been shooting video and editing video for many years now, I get a good buzz out of been a little bit of a nuisance with my camcorder, whether it be a holiday stint, a family wedding, birthday party, or just the odd BBQ in the back garden, I'm there armed with my video camera.

It all started back in 1980 when I first bought a Sony Beta Max portable video recorder, with camera/camcorder, Wow it was the bee's knees then, when you look at camcorders now a days, I do wonder how I got about with this big camera and portable video recorder, The camera was massive, in fact the battery with that pack was bigger than most of the camcorders you see about today.

Back then Video Editing was all done on machines only the likes of the BBC could afford, any way back in 1995, The world was starting to get use to Computers, home computers at that too. Any way with the computer came the video editing system, and with all the video footage I had saved over the years, I decided to have a go at this video editing, and show my family and friends what they all got up to, more fascinating about all this was the effects and the fact you could put music in the back ground. Thus making the home made movie's that friends and family would watch with out yarning and dozing off, but actually giving you praise for making a good movie.

Today's editing software, and faster computers do make video editing even more fascinating and easier to do, again like I've already said I love editing and producing my own movies.
